Data Carpentry: Genomics In-Person
This is a in-person, multi-site workshop taking place at The University of Kansas (KU) and Kansas State University (K-State). The workshop will not be recorded. Registration is free and required.
Join K-State Libraries Carpentries Collective from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 18-19, 2026, for a Data Carpentry for Genomics workshop. This free, in-person workshop will be held in Hale Library, room 407. Learn more about the content for each day on the workshop webpage.
Carpentries workshops develop fundamental data skills needed to conduct research. Its target audience is researchers who have little to no prior computational experience, and its lessons are domain-specific, building on learners' existing knowledge to enable them to quickly apply skills to their own research. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems.
