Fall 2026 Collection Disaster Training In-Person

The Collection Disaster Team encourages everyone (staff and student workers) to brush up on your Disaster Response skills in our upcoming training event on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026 in the Hemisphere Room (Room 581).  The training will take approximately 20 minutes.  There will be three stations: evacuation procedures, draping plastic/ emergency contacts, and drying wet items. Sessions (groups of up to 6-7 members) will run 10 a.m.- 12p.m., 1 p.m.-3 p.m. and run every 20 minutes.  You can sign up on https://cal.lib.k-state.edu/calendar/library-training/.  Student Supervisors will need to have their students sign up.  After your training, you will be rewarded with an edible treat.
