Demystifying Author Research Impact In-Person

Librarians Laura Bonella and Rachel Miles will cover tools, databases, and topics related to tracking author and research impact. This workshop will focus heavily on ORCID, which is becoming the standard tool to use to prevent author ambiguation. Participants will learn the importance of maintaining researcher profiles for self-promotion and how to:

  • Create or verify an ORCID account
    • Link up to your Google Scholar Profile
    • Link in you researcher IDs (e.g. ResearcherID)
  • Find your h-index
  • Locate and track citations
  • Track usage statistics and alternative metrics
