Measuring Journal Impact Workshop Series: Altmetrics

Measuring Journal Impact Workshop Series: Altmetrics In-Person

Increasingly, altmetrics are used in conjunction with traditional citation-based metrics to track how researchers, the public and the media engage with scholarly research online. You’ll learn how altmetrics capture data and explore the benefits of tracking a journal’s online activities. We’ll even show you how to determine who’s saying what about research articles and how to identify and contextualize the volume and nature of the online attention.

CADS at K-State Libraries aims to create a community of editors on campus who can share resources and learn from each other’s experiences.

Thinking about becoming an editor for a journal or other series? Email your contact information to cads@k-state.edu to add your name to the invite list for these and other events.
